Phase II of the Port St. Lucie Intermodal Facility, will transform this existing functional transit stop into a vibrant hub that goes beyond moving people from “Point A” to “Point B.” This project meets the St. Lucie County Transit Department’s vision to create a destination. This project also aligns with the City of Port St. Lucie’s vision to create high performing public spaces. The project site is located off Airoso Boulevard, strategically across from the City of Port St. Lucie Municipal Complex and adjacent to the Port St. Lucie Community Center.
Amenities will include but not limited to include:
- Air-conditioned building with public restrooms
- Shade structures
- Improved pedestrian and bicycle connections and crosswalks
- Covered Bicycle parking area
- Informational signage with QR Codes
- Public Art
- Play area and activities
- Workout stations
- Comfortable, shaded seating
- Area for Food Trucks
Phase I, completed in 2013, included 4 open bus bays, a platform for passengers, parking for 24 cars, pedestrian connectivity to the Community Center, and a 1,200 square foot covered seating area.
